Knee Pain

Don’t let your knee pain prevent you from moving and living.

According to the Arthritis Foundation, 14-million people have symptomatic knee osteoarthritis.  Osteoarthritis of the knee is not just for the older population, either.  Eight million of those suffering from knee arthritis are under the age of 65!

Stop to think about that for a second….

You could live another 30-years or more after being diagnosed with knee arthritis.

Three common athletic injuries increase your risk of developing post-traumatic knee arthritis:

  • Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear
  • Menicus tear (second most common structure damaged in athletes)
  • Patellar dislocation

All three of these athletic knee injuries commonly occur without  contact with another person/ player, typically, when cutting, pivoting, or changing direction when running.  Recent research has shown significant reduction in risk of these injuries with performance of  specific exercises.

Whether you have recently injured your knee while playing a sport, or if you just think your knee pain is caused by “getting old,”  you can make changes that will help you reduce your pain and limitations.

Your key is to make the correct changes and to do the correct exercises.
